British Open winner, Todd Hamilton makes his home in McKinney, TX north of Dallas. My other favorite man with ties to McKinney is Chuck Roberts. Chuck is affiliated with the Center for Biblical Counseling. He has an office in Dallas proper as well. I have added Chuck to my respected and admired list.
Chuck is an excellent counselor who can help you work through virtually any problems including sexual abuse, infidelity and depression. He is a courageous, kind, compassionate, straightforward man.
In addition to being a man of great depth, Chuck also has a good sense of humor. Chuck was in my wife's graduate school class at Colorado Christian University (which is where we began our friendship based on a common affinity for dark, strong coffee). The first day they were going around the room introducing themselves. A cute, petite Asian woman shared her name and a detail or two about herself. The professor asked her if her name meant anything and she said yes, smart and beautiful. They went around the room a little more and came to Chuck. He said, "Hi, I'm Chuck. That means smart and beautiful."
Chuck is also a gifted speaker to have in for a seminar or to speak at your church.
If you are from the Dallas area I encourage you to seek him out. If you are not, I ask for your prayers for Chuck as he guides others in putting meaning to their suffering and connecting it with the ultimate suffering and healing of the cross of Christ.
